A clear look at what Smoke Signal screens, what it publishes, and where the research ends.
01
What is Smoke Signal?
Smoke Signal is an options research service that screens unusual call activity and tracks the resulting signals. It turns a broad daily tape into a smaller set of contracts to review. In the past, it has surfaced many contracts that subsequently ran to meaningful peaks in value.
02
How does Smoke Signal pick contracts?
The system reviews the daily call option tape, applies multi-stage screening, and scores contracts with a proprietary algorithm. Only contracts that clear every screening requirement are published; unusual activity alone does not prove someone is buying or predict where a price will go.
03
How is Smoke Signal different from options flow tools?
Many flow tools present a broad, largely unfiltered tape. Smoke Signal filters and scores that activity down to a smaller set of contracts for focused research.
04
Does Smoke Signal show losing signals?
Yes, Smoke Signal tracks published signals that lose value as well as those that gain value. Members can also track their own picks, which remain private to their account.
05
How many signals does it deliver?
The count varies from one trading day to the next. The goal is a handful to review, and most screening runs publish fewer than ten contracts.
06
What kinds of contracts does it focus on?
Smoke Signal focuses on call options with months until expiration. It is not built around 0DTE or weekly-expiry strategies.
07
How do the plans differ?
Every plan sees the same published signals; the difference is delivery timing. Basic has a 7-trading-day delay, Advanced has a 3-trading-day delay, and Pro receives signals the same day Smoke Signal publishes them.
08
Is Smoke Signal investment advice?
No. Its research observations are not trade instructions, forecasts, or personalized investment advice. Options involve risk, including the loss of the entire premium.
